As I was browsing the internet, I stumbled upon this amazing map of the Southeast Region of the United States, complete with all of the states and their capitals. As an Asian-American, I find it fascinating to learn about the different regions of the country and their unique cultures.
Alabama
Starting with Alabama, it is known for its rich history and delicious southern cuisine. Its capital, Montgomery, played a significant role in the civil rights movement.
Florida
Next up is Florida, the sunshine state. It is known for its beautiful beaches, theme parks like Disney World and Universal Studios, and the Everglades National Park. Tallahassee is the state capital, and it is home to Florida State University and Florida A&M University.
Georgia
Georgia, also known as the peach state, is famous for its sweet peaches and pecans. The state capital, Atlanta, is a bustling city known for its diverse population, delicious food, and rich history. It is home to many colleges and universities, including the prestigious Emory University and Georgia Tech.
Kentucky
Kentucky is known for its horse racing, bourbon whiskey, and southern hospitality. The state capital, Frankfort, is a charming small town with a rich history dating back to the American Civil War.
Mississippi

Tennessee
Tennessee, the volunteer state, is known for its delicious southern barbecue, country music, and beautiful mountain landscapes. Its capital city, Nashville, is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame and other great music venues.
Virginia
Virginia, the old dominion, is known for its rich history, beautiful beaches, and delicious seafood. Its capital city, Richmond, is home to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and many other cultural institutions.
West Virginia
West Virginia, the mountain state, is known for its stunning natural beauty and outdoor recreation, such as skiing, hiking, and white-water rafting. Its capital city, Charleston, is home to the West Virginia State Museum and many other cultural institutions.
