How to Use the Bracket
The NCAA tournament is broken up into four regions: East, West, South, and Midwest. Each region has 16 teams, which are ranked from 1 to 16 based on their performance during the regular season. The top four teams in each region get a bye in the first round, which means they automatically advance to the second round.
Starting with the first round, you will fill in the bracket by selecting the team you think will win each game. You will find the team names on the left side of the bracket, while the game numbers are listed on the right. By the time you reach the championship game, you will have narrowed down your choices from 64 teams to just 2.
Tips for Filling Out Your Bracket
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when filling out your NCAA bracket for March Madness:
- Look at each team’s record: Before making any predictions, be sure to review the records of each team. Teams with higher win-loss records are generally considered to be stronger contenders.
- Check out their past performance: How has each team performed in previous tournaments? Have they been a strong contender in the past or are they likely to be a weaker team this year?
