March is here, and you know what that means - St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner! If you’re like me, you love getting into the spirit of the holiday and enjoying all of the festivities. One of my favorite things to do is leave little treats and surprises for my family and friends to discover throughout the day. This year, I found the perfect idea that is sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
Enter the Leprechaun Note
This adorable little note is sure to delight anyone who comes across it. The best part is that it’s incredibly easy to make! All you need is some green paper, a printer, and a pair of scissors. Simply print out the note (you can find it online), cut it out, and leave it somewhere for your loved ones to find!
The note reads:
Hello there! You’ve found a Leprechaun note! I hope it brings a smile, and I hope you have a happy St. Patrick’s Day!
After I print out the note, I like to cut it out in the shape of a shamrock for an extra festive touch. Then, I leave it somewhere where it’s sure to be discovered, like on the kitchen table or on someone’s pillow. Watching people’s faces light up when they find it is one of the highlights of my day!
Other St. Patrick’s Day Treats and Surprises
If you’re looking for more ways to add some St. Patrick’s Day fun to your day, there are plenty of easy ideas to choose from. Here are a few of my favorites:
St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast
Start your day off right with a festive breakfast! Cook up some green pancakes, top them with gold (maple) syrup, and add a side of Irish sausage. For an extra special touch, serve it all up on a green tablecloth with some St. Patrick’s Day decorations.
Pot of Gold Surprise
If you have kids (or even if you don’t!), this little surprise is sure to be a hit. Fill a small black pot with chocolate gold coins and other treats, and hide it somewhere for your loved ones to discover. You could even make a little treasure hunt out of it by leaving clues around the house.
Irish Soda Bread
This classic St. Patrick’s Day treat is a must-have for any celebration. You just need flour, baking soda, salt, buttermilk, and raisins (if you like them). Mix it all together, shape it into a round loaf, and bake for about an hour. The result is a delicious, hearty bread that’s perfect for serving with butter and jam.
Green Beer
If you’re of legal drinking age and like to indulge in a little adult beverage every now and then, try adding some green food coloring to your beer! It’s a fun and festive way to celebrate the day.
