Well howdy there, folks! Have y’all heard of Groundhog Day? It’s a fun little holiday that happens every year on February 2nd, and it’s all about that cute little critter known as the groundhog. Now I don’t know about y’all, but I think groundhogs are just about the cutest darn things out there, and that’s why I’m so excited to share these Groundhog Day coloring pages and activities with y’all.

Of course, coloring isn’t the only activity you can do on Groundhog Day. There are plenty of other fun things you can do to celebrate this silly little holiday, too. Here are some of my favorites:

Make a Groundhog Puppet

This one is super easy and oh-so-cute. All you’ll need is some brown paper bags, construction paper, and googly eyes. Just cut out some groundhog ears and teeth out of the construction paper, glue them onto the bag, and attach the googly eyes. Voila! You’ve got yourself a cute little groundhog puppet that’s just begging to be played with.

There are plenty of fun Groundhog Day stories out there, and they’re all perfect for snuggling up with on a chilly February day. Some of my personal favorites include “Groundhog Gets a Say”, “Punxsutawney Phyllis”, and “Grumpy Groundhog”. Trust me, your kiddos will love ’em.

Okay, so this one’s more for the adults, but that doesn’t mean your kiddos can’t join in on the fun. There are plenty of hilarious Groundhog Day movies out there, including the classic “Groundhog Day” starring Bill Murray, as well as “Groundhog Day: The Musical” and the kids’ movie “Groundhog Day”.

Bake Groundhog Day Treats

Who doesn’t love a good excuse to bake some yummy treats? And on Groundhog Day, there are plenty of cute and quirky treats you can make to celebrate. Try your hand at making some Groundhog Day cupcakes, complete with little candy ears and noses. Or, if you’re feeling really adventurous, you can even make a groundhog-shaped cake.
