So, I was browsing the internet the other day, minding my own business, when I stumbled upon this gem of a picture. And let me tell you, it just had to be shared with all of you. I mean, take a look:
First up, we have…whatever this is
Now, I don’t know about you, but this just looks like a jumbled mess to me. I mean, where’s Mary? Where’s Joseph? And why is there an angel sitting on top of a donkey? I have so many questions.
Next, we have the most terrifying rendition
Um…what is going on here? Is that supposed to be baby Jesus? Because it looks more like a tiny, creepy doll. And why is Mary staring off into the distance like she’s seen a ghost? And poor Joseph…he looks like he’s about to have a heart attack.
Third time’s the charm, maybe?
Okay, things are looking a little better now. At least baby Jesus looks like a baby and not a terrifying doll. And Mary looks like she’s actually paying attention to what’s happening. But what’s with the random sheep and shepherd lurking in the background? I’m not sure they belong in a nativity scene.
The one where they tried to be artistic
Well, I guess this one is…interesting. I appreciate the effort to make it look like stained glass, but it just looks like a bunch of weird shapes to me. And where’s baby Jesus? Did they forget to include him? And why are all of the other figures shaped like triangles? I’m so confused.
And finally, the one that’s actually kind of cute
Aww, this one is actually kind of sweet. I love the little animals gathered around the manger. And Mary and Joseph look like they’re genuinely happy to be there. And finally, a baby Jesus that actually looks like a baby. This one gets a thumbs up from me.
So there you have it, folks. A lovely little collection of nativity scenes for your viewing pleasure. Some were a little…questionable, but others were quite charming. And who knows, maybe one of these will inspire you to create your own masterpiece this holiday season. Although, I can’t promise it will be any less confusing than the ones we just looked at.
