Elkonin Boxes Printable Pdf

Hey y’all! Hope y’all are doing good. I wanted to share with y’all some great work pages that I found on Teachers Pay Teachers called Sound Box Elkonin Boxes Work Pages by Caitlin Kramer.

Check out these work pages!

Sound Box Elkonin Boxes Work PagesY’all, these work pages are just what my little ones needed to work on their phonemic awareness and phonics skills. They get to use the Elkonin Boxes to practice isolating and identifying individual sounds in words. And with these work pages, there are plenty of words to practice with!

What I really appreciate about these work pages is that they are designed to be fun and engaging. The graphics are bright and colorful, and there are even some cute little animals to keep the kids interested.

How to Use the Work Pages

Each work page has a set of Elkonin Boxes that correspond to a specific word. The kids say the word out loud and then use the Elkonin Boxes to represent each sound in the word.

For example, let’s say the word is “cat”. There are three Elkonin Boxes on the work page, so the child would put one letter in each box to represent the three sounds in the word. Then they can write the word once they’ve completed the Elkonin Boxes.

It’s a simple concept, but it’s a great way to help kids develop that crucial phonemic awareness that will set them up for success when it comes to reading and writing.

Final Thoughts

I’m really glad I discovered these work pages on Teachers Pay Teachers. They have been such a valuable resource for my classroom, and my kids have been loving them.

If y’all are looking for some fun and effective resources to help your kids with their phonics and phonemic awareness skills, I highly recommend giving these work pages a try.

Until next time, y’all!
