Y’all, this picture is everything! I just love the way the artist captured the beauty of Black women and our natural hair. The afro in this drawing looks so lush and full, and the floral background adds just the right amount of femininity and softness.
I’m definitely going to try to recreate this drawing myself - wish me luck! But in the meantime, I thought I’d share this picture with all of y’all. I feel like it’s so important to celebrate and uplift Black art, particularly art that celebrates our natural features and beauty.

This next drawing stopped me dead in my tracks when I first saw it. The artist really made this Black woman’s red lips pop, and the gold hoop earrings are such a classic touch. Sometimes it’s the little details that can make a drawing really special, y’all!
